John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has touched a lot of people through his music. A lot of them have roots in Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in affection with Colorado and later settled in Aspen. Denver's national anthems to his adopted state has drawn a lot of people to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame says that John Denver is unlike any other artist who embodies Colorado. Denver was the one of the first Hall of Fame inductee in the year 2011. Many consider Denver to be the symbol of Colorado. You meet people in other nations, for instance New Zealanders and ask them "I am from Colorado" then they instantly reply with "Oh John Denver. Brown clarified. Take Me Home Country Roads was co-written by Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo performer after a brief stint in small folk bands. Danoff composed the track inspired by Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear the song's early versions and was aware that the song would be a top 10 hit. The song was first recorded a few weeks after the Washington D.C. performance.
